Fluoropolymers and Medical Devices: preventing contamination and reducing waste
You might be surprised to hear fluoropolymers play a key role in protecting healthcare workers and reducing medical waste. However, fluoropolymers are irreplaceable in medical devices and their packaging due to their durable, non-stick, stable and biocompatible properties.
Long before each of us was worrying about wearing a clean mask, fluoropolymers have been used in medical packaging to ensure the sterility of medical devices.
